On Thursday, 5^th September, 4^th Class travelled by bus to Castlemartyr National School to attend a Road Safety Workshop entitled ‘StreetSmart’.

What is StreetSmart? StreetSmart is an exciting initiative set up by the Road Safety Authority which aims to bring issues of road safety to life for young school children.  StreetSmart involves a streetscape mat which invites children to carry out typical, everyday cycling or pedestrian tasks. The Road Safety Authority representatives were on hand to coordinate the activities. It was an action packed, fun filled day that enhanced the student’s knowledge of the rules of the road.
