FAI Primary School 5’s soccer Blitz

16 girls from 5th & 6th class travelled to Midleton on Monday,1st April to participate in the FAI Primary School 5-a-side soccer competition. Thank you to Ms. Walsh and Stephen Mulcahy for organising our participation in the event. A great day was had by all.

Both teams represented themselves and their school brilliantly. One of our teams made it through to the county finals which took place on the 2nd May. Thanks to those involved in the training and those who supported us on the day.

On the 2nd May, 8 girls traveled to Turners Cross to participate in the county finals. They battled hard but were knocked out of the competition at this stage. This was a huge learning experience for all involved. It was a much worthwhile initiative and one we look forward to taking part in again.
