Welcome to St.Mary’s National School Cobh Website

Our school was founded in 1914 by the Sisters of Mercy. It is situated in the historic town of Cobh, overlooking St. Colman’s Cathedral and Cork Harbour. We currently have 238 pupils attending our school. We have 20 teachers, 5 special needs assistants, a secretary and a caretaker. Our average mainstream class size is 19.  Our Sonas class room is dedicated to helping girls with Autism/ASD reach their full potential.  Our dedicated staff are committed to the holistic education and development of each of our pupils, enabling them to learn and grow together, ag fás is ag foghlaim le chéile.
